Poetry: Keeping quiet

by Linda Hinkley

Created on: November 28, 2009   Last Updated: January 12, 2012

I'm keeping quiet
The way I should
Not spreading bad
Not knowing good
The answer to a prayer I prayed
To keep quiet
The promise made
To utter bad
Would be a shame
Spreading gossip
Giving blame
My mind is wondering
What to do
But I Just keep quiet
As I smile at you
