After the success achieved by her first two fragrances, Kylie Minogue released her third one, Showtime, at the end of February 2008. Inspired by Kylie's charismatic on stage persona and magnetic personality, it features a sweet, feminine and exciting blend of floral and fruity notes that create a lively and exuberant fragrance.

Showtime comes in an elegant bottle very reminiscent of Guerlain's Insolence that resembles an oversized gem and has a subtle disco ball effect. The bottle is clear and the fragrance has a bright pink color. The packaging shares the same intense pink color theme and features the Kylie star logo. Showtime is available as 30, 50 and 75 ml EDT and EDP, along with 75ml or 150 ml sparkling body lotion and shower cream. Other products are deodorant body spray and parfum deo spray. The fragrance can also be purchased in stylish gift sets.

Despite the fact that the packaging is quite similar, the EDT and EDP versions of Showtime are slightly different. The EDT belongs to the floral fruity family, while the EDP is a fruity oriental. However, the Showtime theme is equally present in both forms of the fragrance: it is expressed through a lingering sweet, glamorous vibe that oozes femininity and vitality, accompanied by an intensely sensual undertone.

For the EDT, the top notes are mara de bois, wild strawberry, loganberry, the heart notes are liquorice and tiare flower, while the base notes are praline and vanilla. The EDP is more sensual and enticing, consisting of cranberry, strawberry and blackcurrant top notes, heliotrope and liquorice middle notes and deep enriching toffee and vetiver base notes. The notes are blended more subtly, for a more seductive overall effect.

Showtime is a fresh, modern and vivid scent that is very versatile. It can be worn every day as a signature scent or at night, accompanied by an elegant, festive outfit. Because it captures so well the sensation of joie de vivre and the excitement of being in the spotlight, it can be worn by women of all ages that have a young, free-spirited heart. The inherent sweetness of this fragrance also makes it appropriate for romantic settings and it can thus, be a perfect romantic gift.
