Google offers of $75 free advertising
Google has been offering advertising for years. You can access and set up your own account by going to http://www.google.com/adwords. It is set up so you pay per click. Any time a potential consumer clicks on your ad it is tallied with Google and you are charged for each click on your ad. Your account can be set up to target specific sites. They make it fairly affordable for anyone. You can choose how many clicks per day you are willing to pay for, and then your ad will no longer post that day. That way you can budget your advertising.
The $75 worth of free advertising is generally offered through affiliated companies. As with, godaddy.com, when you host your website with them they offer you an advertising package. These packages include credits towards advertising with Google, Facebook, and MySpace.
FatCow also does web hosting. They too offer credits for advertising. Google and Yahoo are the two that they have credits with.
The web hosting site aplus.net is still offering up to $75 worth of Google credits. How much credit you get is dependent on what plan you sign up with. You would need to sign up for an ecommerce account in order to qualify for the full $75. Dreamhost is offering this deal when you spend $75. Shoplet.com is also offering this credit. Myspace is now offering this credit with their advertising promotion, shoe75.
Usually this large credit can only be obtained by spending more on advertising or web hosting. But smaller amounts are often available. Amounts like, $25 or $30 are common. Taking advantage of these credits to advertise your website can be a great way to make your advertising dollars go farther. This can help to make your business grow. Shop around, and compare web hosting prices. A site I found helpful was http://www.thetop10bestwebhosting.com. It lists the top 10 web hosting sites available and how much they charge. They each offer some type of advertising package. Specials are often changing so do your research. Be aware of costs. You will want to weigh out, and keep in balance your expenses. This click advertising option can be helpful in keeping your expenses in check.
