Changes in lifestyle can reduce blood pressure. Here are some steps that a person can do to keep your pressure under control:
Losing weight lowers blood pressure of most people. Can help decrease the amount of medication that takes hypertensive or completely eliminate the need for them. Even losing a little weight helps.
Associate products with changes in habits. Medications play an important role when the pressure increases but the drugs do not substitute for changes in habits.
A study of people with mild hypertension found that the combination of medications and lifestyle changes (diet and exercise) are more effective than either one alone to prevent future heart attacks and strokes. For people with severe high blood pressure, changes and medication, together, can result in lower doses of drugs, reducing the cost and risk of side effects.
Using a device to measure blood pressure at home. The home monitoring has several benefits. The first and most important is to warn if the pressure becomes dangerously high, allowing for the doctor at first. The second is the economic issue because the person will not need to go to the doctor so. Moreover, it leaves the person most involved with the care of their own health, allowing you to see the benefits of changing habits and treatments.
Physical activity reduces blood pressure and helps you lose weight. But it must be accompanied by a doctor. The types of exercises that can benefit most from the patient with hypertension, are aerobic activities like walking, jogging, stair climbing, aerobics, swimming, cycling, tennis, skateboarding, or anything else that raises your pulse and sustain high at least 20 minutes.
The aerobic exercises will not turn, and lift weights, do sit-ups and bar, can be dangerous for people with hypertension should not be made without the explicit consent of the physician.
Taking medicines, high blood pressure is a silent evil, unlike other chronic diseases such as diabetes, it is likely that a person feel good even if they take medicine. But inside the body, the disease will continue to progress and damage the blood vessels of the eyes, destroy the kidneys, causing stress to the heart etc.. Another problem that can occur when you stop taking the drugs is the rebound effect, in which blood pressure rises to a higher level than it was before you started taking the medicine.
Learning to relax, some kind of relaxation, or meditation, yoga, biofeedback, massage or just a separate little time to rest can be an important part of treatment. Chronically stressed release adrenaline in their bodies. This excess of hormones may constrict the arterioles (tiny blood vessels), making entering into spasm. It is difficult for the heart push blood through these arterioles tight, resulting in high blood pressure.
.
Reducing stress can also lower blood pressure. Decrease alcohol, a quantity greater than one drink a day can increase blood pressure. Stop smoking immediately, the benefits of quitting smoking are immediate. After two years, the risk of developing coronary artery disease drops to the same level of someone who does not smoke. Pregnancy can also cause high blood pressure, regardless of health and lifestyle of the mother.
