"Business" is a broad category for a career choice - but that's not necessarily a bad thing!
Flexibility is the key to long-term success and a Business qualification is a great first step, because the skills you will learn (whether you attend University, night courses or online schooling) are skills that can be adapted to various roles within the business world.
Do a blunt self-assessment: what are your strengths?
* If you're a people person...consider sales. What seems like a boring "door to door" or "telemarketing" sales position, could lead you into high-paying Sales Management, Marketing or Call Center Manager position, as long as you join a good company and build your experience over time.
Then, move into a larger company and develop your skills further, make friends with all the right people...you might find yourself as a Director or General Manager one day!
* Sales isn't the only way to get a "foot in the door". Perhaps Administration is your strength? I'm going to be honest: starting your career as a Personal Assistant, Receptionist or other Administration role is going to make climbing the ladder harder (I know, because I did this myself!). It isn't impossible, though.
Remember to keep studying and improving your resume, going "over and above" the call of duty to impress your bosses and don't be afraid to ask for more responsibility...followed a little later by a request for a pay rise!
