A Noble Tear
A walk through blooming branches
The smell of calm, serene
I tasted every dewdrop
And drank in nature's scene
The breeze touched towering treetops
Their hats tipped for to share
The meekest mouse, assurance
The boldest wolf, with care.
The mosses served as carpet
Beetles served as pets
And birds held conversation
With stories I'll never forget
And just beyond a tree stump
A foundling, I hold dear
A trillium, meant for saving
My country's noble tear.
