Best destinations for New Year's Eve celebrations

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil! - This is the place you want to be in New Year's Eve. The energized Brazilians will surround you with their beauty and optimism. Hence, after a Carnival night in Copacabana beach, with amazing fireworks and lots of beautiful people around you, problems are not going to look as bad as they are now.

Copacabana beach is one of the most popular places in Rio de Janeiro. It has fine restaurants, luxury hotels, street market, artists, fun places to dance and have a drink, or just sit and admire the shore. Besides, people in Brazil are very friendly and kind. You will love it.

New York City is my next suggestion. The New Year's Eve Ball in Time Square is out of this world! The positive energy that comes from the people, the music, the hugs, and everything else is just amazing. The Big Apple is unforgettable. Somehow, New York has this magic power to integrate different cultures and different people in one place.

Once in New York City, you may find some time to see a Broadway show, or enjoy the best cheesecake in the world. And then, my friend, it will be tough to leave this city. It happens to me all the time. I usually come back home from New York with a broken heart. It's like leaving home to come back home.

Go to the Mountains for a peaceful night. What about taking a different path this year? It may be a good idea to cool down and meditate. Well, if this is what you really want, so come to Virginia and be my guest!

Virginia is one of the most beautiful states in this country. The landscape here is gorgeous, and the mountains are majestic. Once here, you will find rustic log cabins, bed and breakfast places, and comfortable hotels. Start the New Year in tune with the powerful force of the nature around you. Come to Virginia.

Finally, if you are just tired of being on the road all the time, just stay at home. Last year, I prepared a romantic dinner for two, placed some candles in the dining room and stayed at home with my hubby. After dinner, we danced, we talked about past year's resolutions, and went to bed to renew our love. It was romantic, peaceful, and beautiful.

Wherever you decide to go for New Year's Eve, don't forget to bring along with you love, a bunch of peaceful thoughts, and most important, lots of hope. Happy New Year!
