Fornication, Adultery, Homosexuality, Church Folk And The Preacher

Intro

One day tomboys will become girly girls. They will see boys as never before. One day the boys that love their skins and shirts basketball game will become all boy. They will see girls differently. Their notice of each other is inevitable. They will discover they like each other, they can't explain it and then, if they are not from a Christian home or are not told sex is wrong they will.... If they have no control of their desires, their itches will be scratched, lust will prevail and they will....

Fornication

Fornication, it seems, is the one sin men and women refuse to give up. But, "boys will be boys" does not fly, "just a man being a man" will not do. And a young lady shouldn't advertise what isn't for sale, she isn't a street-walker nor should she give away the gift that was meant for only her husband. For the boy and the girl, for the young man and the young woman, for the old man and the old woman, for the single person period, no marriage means no sex, at least biblically.

Yes, I know what I'm saying, and yes, I too have committed this sin. But, going together, a trial marriage, living together and common law marriage are only excuses to sin against God.

Fornication destroys the original foundation of the marriage: Virginity for both the male and the female. Sex original intent was for a husband and his wife, their first encounter was to be on the honeymoon night. They were to only know each other in this special way.

Adultery

And there are those separated from their spouses and those divorced, who continue to enjoy the pleasures of the gift of marriage (intimacy emotionally and sexually, which are for a husband and his wife exclusively). They completely ignore they are no longer qualified for sexual enjoyment. There is no biblical precedence for such intimacy outside the bond of marriage. Although, the ones separated can fix their problem: reconcile and go back home.

Adultery destroys the family and all of the trust that was built over time. Sometimes there is reconciliation, sometimes not. It is unlikely the marriage will be the same after this breach of trust.

A Challenge That Can Be Overcome

A man once said this about sex: "Once they start, they don't stop." Yes, the urge is strong, it's hard to resist, sex is hard to give up. Nevertheless, if one is a child of God or when one becomes a child of God, are they not supposed to repent and forsake their sins? "It depends" is not
