Poetry: Lost love

Just another sad song plays,
as I sit by the phone
While you're out in another's arms
I'm lying here alone

I thought you said you loved me,
but I guess that I was wrong
Right now it seems my life with you
was just another sad song

There's a pain in my heart, and a tear in my eye
A pale on the moon, and a cloud in the sky
I'm bleeding on the inside, my heart is on my sleeve
If you're already gone how can i beg you not to leave

You left a letter on the dresser
that you scented with perfume
To make sure that when you left
your presence still would fill the room

Did you ever care?
Or were you lying all
Right now it seems my life with you
was just another sad song

There's a pain in my heart, and hate in my eye
A pale on the moon, and a storm in the sky
The blood is flowing outside, it's drowning out my sight
I'm all alone, I'm by the phone, and screaming in the night
