On paper, perception says there is no difference between religion and Christianity, other than what one believes. But perception and reality are rarely the same. Yet, because people believe a certain way doesn't necessarily make them bad or evil.
Anytime the topics of debate are religion and Christianity, things can get testy, very touchy. These spirited discussions can go on hours-on-end. There can be an argument that becomes hostile. So, how God's word is delivered requires soft hands and finesse, but, not at the expense of watering down the truth. So, what I jot down and how it's presented is most important. Because of the ramification and the blessings of giving out the truth, I have to be sure of what I'm talking about, too much is on the line.
Religion
After many find their religious answers, they think their quest is over. They think their run-up in religious knowledge is enough to save them or they can do enough good to earn the key to eternity. This line of thinking and biblical Christianity butt heads.
Religion is a philosophy of men and there are many, but none reconciles man with the eternal God. This rush to nowhere is a misleading label of peace with God that cost too much. Mathew 15:13-14tells us: "But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up. Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch." And in Proverbs 14:12, these words, are found there: "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." What one chooses or who one doesn't choose will matter in the end. Living on the edge spiritually, is a daring way to live. But, the God of the bible doesn't accept the spoils of rot. There will be no peace with the Prince of peace.
Religious "think tanks" change truth to fit their ideology or support their arguments. They tell their followers, the only thing that really matters is they believe in God. In most cases, there is a revolving door between "because I want to and because I don't want to", for it allows them to live life on their own terms. But, God is their silent-partner of sorts, until judgment day. They never truly embrace Jesus as Lord, only as Savior, but, biblically, the two cannot be separated. A keen eye is not on the word of the living God.
This charade is too expensive. Religion is prejudice against the truth it needs the most. Any religion that says one can live for
