After The War
You've caused teenagers to become Colonels
And have induced amateurs to become Generals
Women and girls have been abused and violated
Owing to your terrible sting
Like an earthquake, you've sank the wealth of
Nations into the depth of your wide and jagged jaws
You have terribly ravaged
The whole world by your rough and cold torch
And in the subtle form of Jihads and Crusades
You instigated religions to attack people in gruesome ways
Oh War
Your end is near
From African to America, Asia to Australia and Europe
A time will come:
When nations will seek reunion, peace and love
When arms and ammunitions would be openly destroyed
And battlefields will cease to exist
When all nuclear weapons would be dismantled
And all lethal weapons would be destroyed
When all refugees will once again return
To their homeland with jubilation and celebration
When prisoners of war will become free
When all men will treat their fellows with love
When all races, colors and creed would pursue peace
When lives would no longer be wasted and properties
Would no longer succumb to the terrible powers of bombs
When wildlife and natural endowment
Would no long be endangered
When the peace would no longer be
A Utopian dream but a complete reality
When the world would no longer
Be a battleground but play ground
When fighting and mutilation would become history
When mass homelessness would cease
And violence would never be again.
A time will surely come
when the world be a better place
And all will confidently say,
