Although I thank our Lord for all of the seasons that He has so graciously granted us, there is something really special about the summer. It's not just another pretty face or just another face in the crowd. It masterfully masters its season, taking a different road than the winter. It has too. It's Julian date signifies one of the chameleons of the four seasons. This majestic belle is gender friendly, neutral, closes the gap between sunshine and rain while offering a connotative language that's unmistakable: beauty and excitement. What a potent recipe for a season. Summer's got all the answers for its season. It more than makes its case for being the most spectacular time of year.
The transitional period from winter to summer is interwoven by the spring, a season that ends hibernation for some and the beginning of echoes of sweet melodies bellowed by others. Spring is the prelude, it sets the stage and is the wake-up call for summer.
The transformation of plants that have bared it all throughout the winter now offer their signature colors and the grand entrance of spectacular blooms. Some growth is so astonishing, it gives the impression of the illegal use of a concealed substance. Exhibitionists don't need cue cards or even an audience for they recognize their stage and season. Now is also the time for honey suckle, four 'o clocks and many roses to show-off their intoxicating scents. These are the positive-id that announces summer's arrival.
When it comes to the summer, love and hate are a perfect match all rolled into one. See, we love this season a lot, but we hate it just as much. But we don't want to do without it even with the great contradiction. You just accept the easy going with the hardship. Besides, you can't elbow in on its territory and there are no savvy negotiations. Somehow all is well.
Summer is the amphitheater for change and time-sharing in the scalding heat and humidity of this season. It's the jubilant thought of those air-strikes from the diving board to the abyss of the pool that salivate the minds. This is just one of the gambit of activities that the arced specter of wintertime just wouldn't allow. Focus is now centered predominately on outdoor jaunts rather than indoor preoccupation. And after those scorching summer days, oh, can hardly wait for the cool draft of those cool romantic summer nights.
From change of attire to the thermostat setting going from heat to air and to exotic vacations to romantic diversions, we have its rosiest
