In a time of deep darkness
I search for the light
as time slowly slips away;
hope seems to take flight.
Often thinking I found a solution
only to feel disillusioned
totally lost in a square room;
constantly filled with confusion.
Faced head on with a brick wall
too weak to knock it down
not a soul to care or call;
on my own should I fall to the ground.
Nothing left to say or do
no more options to plan
walking in circles without a clue;
perhaps I am not supposed to understand.
I yell out to the heavens above
my heart hears a voice respond
give me your problems, just let go;
In times of darkness . . trust God.
