Poetry: For my grandmother

Created on: November 23, 2009

Grandma

Who could be so loving and caring to me
if not you grandma.
Your love and care encircle me every moment
right from when I was a kid
and even now that I'm becoming a man.
As a kid,I remember you
bathing me and scrubbing me so hard because
you didn't want any germ on your grandchild
and even now that I'm becoming a man,
you still play and joke with me
as if we are in the same age group.

Grandma,you are old,
yet you still have the strength
and will of a young person.
With your untiring strength and vigour
you are always willing
to help me in my household chores.

Grandma, you have done so much for me that
I can't quantify everything nor qualify them
with words.
I love you and promise to make you proud.
You will surely see the fruits of your labour.
Its pleasant being your grandchild.
Thank you grandma.
