Elusive signs...
Hindsight is a gift
that every one of us can use
to travel back in time
and find invaluable clues
The signposts were all there
but they were written on the back
and difficult to see
while moving forward on the track
But as we wander in reverse
back over where we've been
those signs we missed before
are so much more easily seen
So while it can be painful
seeing where we wrongly turned
the value in the journey
is in seeing what we've learned
And using what we know
about the signs and how they're placed
so on our future travels
we won't miss them in our haste
