I do believe that arranged marriage would last longer than a loved one. In such a so-called fine and develop society, people seem to forget what is right and wrong, and they couldn't just nurture a subject that they thought they are very familiar with. Such as love, people think they know it all. However, they won't until they learn how to nurture it. The reason I agreed on arranged marriage will last longer than a loved one, simply because couples are too nave (or too smart) to know what love really is. No one should deny that even a romantic person would have to learn how to be romantic in a way that won't hurt.

A friend once asked me about my current relationship. I told him we finally expressed our love to each other. He asked me what the next move would be. I said, "Well, we'll just do what the casual couples usual do: movies, dating, texting, calling, kissing, have meals together, sharing ice cream, etc. What do you expect?" He replied, "Marriage." At this point, I was a little taken aback, though I wasn't too surprised. I told him I'm too young, and he said to me that he got married at a young age. Even so, that doesn't mean I should do the same! I don't get married just because I'm in love. That is what people today would say, "Go get married when you found love." And that's it. Love is not about right or wrong. Love is always right. Nevertheless, will the human hearts in this modern century take the responsibility to nurture it? I doubt it. If love is such a great thing in a relationship, why would the number of divorce is greater than that?

In my opinion, arranged marriage laid a low expectation from both sides. Just like meeting strangers in the coffee shop. You wouldn't expect this person to be a good stranger or a bad one. The only matter you would want to know if this stranger could make a good conversation. In such a marriage, you are given a chance to know what love could really offer. Romance may not come in, but having a heart of care is the pure romance itself. In many other rural countries, arranged marriage is popular through culture. In such case, the benefits of it is that each male and female able to learn their roles as husband and wife, instead of trying to fulfill the other's favors.

Love may come in last for such marriage, but it is always better than it fades away in a love marriage and never returns. There's always the right kind of wrong. The same applies to love that goes wrong may bring the right ones back to the road. If humans could understand each other with patience and affection, probably the activity of arranged marriage won't hurt that much.
