Finding the mettle.
I need to find my happy bone,
and tickle it like I'm insane,
I'm done with crying all alone,
and adding crying all in vain,
I search for tunes to make me cry,
like some use pins to pop a boil,
and as great voices goose-bump, I
release my septic inner toil.
I loved and lost enough to know,
such pains awaiting such a choice,
as made when one starts letting go,
of all but their own inner voice.
No matter which path I should choose,
they all have perils and great loss,
and even standing still, I'll lose,
oh such a heart destroying cross.
My turmoil screws my guts at times,
and leaves me searching hopelessly,
while time ticks on and loudly chimes,
"you wasted youth so needlessly"!
Tomorrow-hopes of yesterdays,
are memories reminding us,
while life sends acts in peoples-plays,
you'll see one day, life's worth the fuss.

Even painful and cruel
Pointing us in the wrong direction at times
Often,
