Poetry: Our perfect waltz

by Rebecca Sifuentes

Created on: November 21, 2009   Last Updated: June 15, 2010

You walked over

With wet lips you kissed

My hand

Then your eyes

Looked deep into mine

You asked me

To dance

At that moment

Was bliss

When the orchastra

Began playing

You bowed and I curtsied

Gracefully

I followed your lead

You twirled me once around

Fixated our eyes

After the music ended

The audience stood and applauded

Our greatest performance

The perfect waltz
