Strung out among the stars
are shards of those we love
little pieces of them hang above
and glow in our coral skies;
like reflections on our irises.
Our wishes and hopes.
the things we always meant to do
and will, one day:
the love we give freely:
tiny fragments escape and fly
and lodge forever
among those stars in the sky
