I know someone is going to write an article here called "How to get the girl in 3 easy steps". It's just not that easy. There are a lot of factors involved. Like, what kind of girl am I looking for? What will work with one girl certainly will not work with all girls. For instance, bringing her flowers is an age old tradition. What if she is allergic to flowers? And you can never go wrong with chocolates. Or can you? Is she into movies or is she a nature girl? Finding a girl perfect for you is not impossible but it is difficult. Guys who are confident are not the guys who will be reading this article. So I will direct this to the shy guys out there.
It might seem like a daunting task, but don't let it overwhelm you. Being shy sucks. I don't know how to put it in better terms. The age of the computer and the Internet have certainly helped in that regard. But in the long run, if you are looking for a relationship, you will eventually have to face her. My best advice is be yourself. Girls love a guy that can make them laugh. I have learned this from experience. Breaking the ice is one of the hardest things to do, but once its done the hard part is over. If she is really interested in you, she will help you with the conversation. Believe it or not guys, the girls are out there looking just as hard as you are.
I will tell you one thing that really turns a girl off. DO NOT act as if you are desperate. That will send them running from the room. Act naturally and find a topic you both have in common. Is she into sky diving or collecting milk bottles? You have to find something she likes. Do not be scared to compliment her. I am not saying women are vain, but she likes to know spending that two hours getting ready wasn't a total waste of time. Tel her she has beautiful eyes. (Make sure she isn't wearing sunglasses at the time.) Compliment her on her clothes. No matter what "clique" she belongs to, a girl loves to know you noticed her. But no matter what you say, if there is no attraction there on both sides it will just be another awkward moment in your life to tell your therapist about. So be yourself and go get 'em, tiger!
