Letters to President Bush

by Greg W Huffman

Created on: November 21, 2009

My letter, to you President Bush, is intended to clear up a few things. First of all, you were the President of the United States and you deserve to be called by your title. If I spoke about President Obama the way people talked to you, and about you, I would be called a racist. At least you took your criticism and disrespect like a man.

You should have fabricated pictures of weapons of mass destruction so the liberal left could lay down for a minute. If our country was attacked again, you would have been blamed for not strengthening homeland defenses. You sent our kids to protect our homeland, and of course, it wasn't the right thing to do in the eyes of the left either.

Why couldn't you just ask terrorists to "pretty please, leave our country alone with a cherry on top". Let's face the facts Mr. President, the country wanted a liberal who promotes peace, love and Donnie Osmond. Our country is now in trouble with the new liberal way of thinking. America is weak and will continue to be weak with the current leadership.

The vast majority of American people are weak. How can I say this? We dropped two bombs on two Japanese cities and confetti flew through the air when Japan surrendered. Hiroshima and Nagasaki were civilian targets and many civilians died as a result. Did Japan surrender? Of course they did, because they knew we were serious.

American's today can't stomach tough decisions. These days, if one of our missiles misses it's target and kills a civilian, we are ready to execute the soldier that launched it. President Obama spoke of change, but hasn't changed anything.

He is idly standing by blaming you for everything and being popular for being a President Bush basher. I could have won the election with no skills or experience. As long as I was the biggest President Bush hater, I would be the president right now.

You were not perfect, but no one really is. I am not perfect, but I give you the same respect all President's of this great country deserve. We should respect you for the title you hold and understand that your job is difficult. I could never grasp the great responsibilities placed on the shoulders of an American President.

If your preacher told you to go to war with Iraq, it would have been acceptable. After all, President Obama's preacher said "damn America" and it was cool. Just know that you were not popular because the left is strong in our country. President Obama is popular because he hates you and wants our country to be a handout receiving nation.

Our country wants to be on welfare. Working for a living is gone with the wind. I didn't agree with everything you did while in office, but at least you didn't cry "racism", when the country criticized you or disrespected you. You took your hits and will be remembered, by many, as the President who kept our country safe after September 11, 2001.

President Reagan built up our nation's military. Your father used the military in the first Gulf War. President Clinton downsized our military, closed bases, and let terrorists breed. You used the military and made it strong. President Obama will bring the troops home, because our troops are killing terrorists.

Enjoy your retirement President Bush. While you are sitting on your deck, drinking lemonade, watch how America has to walk on egg shells when we criticize President Obama. America called you every name in the book. You were bashed on sitcoms and disrespected on every television network. Our country is crumbling, not as a result of your 2 terms, but as a direct result of American laziness and liberalism.
