The bible might be considered boring to some people because they can not perceive what is tough. That is because the bible was written centuries ago to teach the people who lived back then. One must understand that in order to teach them anything it had to be written the way it was. Terms like genetic make up or environment would have gone over their heads. It might also seem boring because the bible covers issues deep within us. It is not like some movie filmed in Hollywood that covers some master criminal running loose in Boston. It tells one how the Jews had been taught to hold faith.
If one desires to overcome assumed boredom they could find the King James version of the Bible. It is easier to get interested in. It was translated out of the old bible to allow all the people in England be able to understand it fuller. That form of the bible is easier to read. It doesn't drag one around some world they could have trouble imagining. One tends to not become bored while reading something when it seems to pertain to the world they know, Since the bible is set so long ago most of the readers now have a hard time visualizing it as they read,
It can easily be compared with what is considered very interesting now. Looking back at how people made sacrifices is a lot duller than watching some crime film set in the next century. Science fiction has revved our minds up so much almost nobody can calm theirs down enough to read the bible. Star Wars by far outweighs how the cross killed Jesus.
People get a point of interest established in their minds while growing up. In some of the earlier generations of the nineteen hundreds most of the kids picked theirs up in the junior high library. In the later generations of this century most of the young folk have been fed through some computer. That means they haven't had the same control over it that young folk of earlier generations have had. This psychiatric theory tells how the people raised several hundred years ago had the chance to become interested in the Holy Bible. When this country was formed most of the residents in it could understand what the teachings pertained to. The incidents used for instruction made more sense to them because they had to regularly do things like herd cattle or butcher calves.
Now, when one compares the problems man is now having with some of the things that took place long ago, the King James version of the bible can keep the reader fully interested.
