Blood Stains
Red lips pressed against the phone.
Tears fell upon her soft words.
She cried, forgive me oh please.
Don't take my love away from me.
Tears fell upon her soft words.
A single voice cannot replace.
Don't take the love away from her.
Time won't change the implications.
A single voice cannot replace.
Memories once cherished moments.
Time won't change the implications.
Circumstances hold prisoners.
Memories once cherished moments.
Turn to hateful punches and blows.
Circumstances hold prisoners.
Love is secondary to life.
Turning hateful punches and blows,
Into scars on her fragile soul.
Love is secondary to life.
When will love conquer all the rest?
Twisted scars on her fragile soul.
She cried, forgive me oh please.
When will love conquer all the rest?
Red lips pressed against the phone.

Poetry: Lost love
by Olu Burrell
I think about you when I'm looking ahead
And also in moments of reminiscence
But do me a favor and don't ask me
To tell you
The man in the jacket, walking through snow,
His faithful friend, always in tow,
Forever smiling, happy look on his face,
Whatever
So there we were
Looking up at the sky,
Together.
Truly thought
That you and I
Could storm
Any kind of weather.
I still
Do not wait for me with bated breath,
because my heart dances to and fro.
Its chambers are hollowed and empty
it longs for
As a bird perched on the edge of its nest
eyes searching the unknown world outside
strengthening its wings, yearning to fly
