Poetry: Can you see me?

by Alac Cook

Created on: November 20, 2009

As I'm yearning for your attention,

my heart is hurting in this confliction,

I'm right before you

you see right through me,

What more can I do

I'm all I can be.

I've gone through pain, through sacrifice,

all for you,

and I'm consumed in your avarice,

if you only knew,

how much it hurts,

to sit and watch as our love reverts,

to cry at night when no one's near,

were even you could never hear.
