Waiting to be seen
Here I am
Alone
Like a tiny shell
Laying in the soft wet sand
Stranded, here I fall by myself
Too tired to move
Or search for the place
That will take me home
All alone, I am

How sad to die
for those who know
of no heaven
dressed in their finest
with no place to go
reminding six feet under
Help rescue me,
from the rough waves of the sea,
where I am lonely and stranded,
and my shouting is demanded.

Stranded alone,
among crowds of strangers,
that walk away and pass by me,
no one look and care but
Phoenix, mid-August
Newly broke, brand new in town:
Maybe I'll find work here,
Or at least look around.
