Poetry: Cloudy skies

by Sarah Lewis

Created on: November 19, 2009

Ominous,

Anxious,

They race to cover the sun,

They defuse the light,

They bring forth the rain.

Blanketed.

The earth shivers under it's dark and gloomy gaze.

We seek shelter,

Running for cover,

Raindrop tears dripping down our cheeks.

A terrible end to a perfect day.
