The Importance of Failure:
We all strike out to achieve goals, on a daily basis. Some goals are realistic and some are seemingly out of reach, or just beyond our grasp. We stumble at times and run other times. The impact of our stumbled steps will decide how we perceive the depth of the failure, we are experiencing, and how we will react to the consequences. Most people can find a philosophical way of dealing with the failed attempts, or failure at success to find a way to process an affirmed belief, to feed our ego.
In most cases, when someone stumbles or fails, it can be contributed to one of several reasons. Poor planning, poor strategies for success, not enough information or wrong information, and lastly but most importantly, lack of skills. Setting goals with any of these short falls, can lead to the feeling of failing and could cause significant recourse, from various sources. How we deal with these short-comings will lay the ground work for either total failure or success to build upon.
Attitudes of Failure:
The word "failure" has so many negative connotations, as it is taught to us as young children. It is the unique atmosphere of the home, where failure is defined and will set in our vocabulary or life's progression. By using failure as a guide post, we can set the ground work toward productive successes, in smaller quantities, which will lead to ultimate successful outcomes. Yet, using failure as an excuse and not a reason to look further, for the reason, can define the person in a whole different light.
We all have a means, which will allow us to continue making attempts toward successful outcomes. These attitudes will vary from person to person, depending on how we were raised and taught as youngsters. From falling off of a bicycle, or a horse; the proverbial get back on stance, which has always been taught. Some heed these words throughout their lives, others simply make an excuse not to go forward, or examine the reasons for their falling short of the mark.
Incorrect or Incomplete Information:
When we strive toward achievement of a given goal, we rely on information and develop an attitude during the gathering of resources. Some of these resources are negative, but have good insights. Other resources are positive and can contribute positive attributes, towards the completion of a task. As in anything, we have to filter out what is fluff and what is factual and find the middle ground, towards filling up any gaps of information.
