The idea of a tattoo is to express one self creatively. Thus by permanently embedding art on the body, a person can illustrate their passion through that tattoo.
The jury's still out on whether or not Tattoo fashion is a good or bad thing. Depending on how each person looks at the concept of tattoos, anyone can hate or love ink on the skin.
For some people, tattoos are gorgeous and the more the better. Ink loving fanatics of course go to the lengths of sleeve-length tattoos. Shockingly enough, someone can actually tattoo the bottom of their foot. A tattoo at the bottom of the foot sounds interesting and would most likely tickle like madness.
Some believe that this skin art should flow in moderation. For example, I myself have two tattoos both on the back. Now upper and lower back tattoos are easy to hide when they need to be hidden. However, for those who wish to take to it painfully far, a tattoo could in fact cover the entire body and that definitely looks distasteful.
Some believe no ink at all looks just as great. A conservative individual would typically say that tattoos destroy the skin.
Why would anyone spend that much money and time to have their entire arm tattooed? What's this I hear about a tattoo on your but cheek? How anyone would want to graffiti their body like that is just ugly. Money could be well spent on something more important than putting chemicals on your skin, that person would say. The popular groups of people who say this are parents. When all else fails, hide your tattoo. Hiding something from your parents isn't the best piece of advice, although if they love you then a tattoo won't kill them.
This writer's view is to take it in moderation. Anyone should be able to have as many tattoos as they want. The only rule to suggest to fellow tattoo lovers is to get inked where it's visible and invisible. Meaning, what was just said, get the tattoo wherever so long as it can be hidden from anyone you don't want seeing it.
For example, no matter how beautiful a rose looks on your forearm, a potential employer may not be as impressed evidently costing you a potential job offer. Be who you are, just be cool about it and where a long-sleeved shirt to the interview.
In one's personal life, the big picture is that no one should be judged by whether or not they have inked skin.
