On this Thanksgiving day of prayer,
We thank You for Your love and care.
We thank You that we're blessed to be
Living where we're all still free.
We thank You for our heroes who
Have listened to the call from You.
Who fight to keep us safe from harms,
Protected by Your loving arms.
You have blessed us richly throughout life
And kept us safe from war-torn strife
On our wonderful American land
Free from the evil one's command.
But now we ask You for our sake,
To help us know the true from fake,
For evil has crept into our dreams
With false promises and vile schemes.
Guide us Lord and give us hope
Help us avoid the depth and scope
Of those who want to take our prayer
And ban it from most everywhere.
Please touch their hearts and let them see
That man must always remain free,
To worship You through his own choice,
And not be swayed by Satan's voice.
So, bless us and our enemies too
Forgive them in the wrong they do,
And touch their hearts that they might see
That love abides where You may be.
Amen

All the heartbeats that
Prayers are gifts we should give all the year,
But it seems we do more when Thanksgiving is here.
It's the start of the
