Eleven of the twelve signs of the zodiac are representations of animals or humans. The Libra is the only inanimate sign in the zodiac, yet many astrologers will say that the Libra is the most desirable personality of the zodiac.

Librans have a good sense of right and wrong. They shy away from confrontation. The scales represent the life they desire of serenity and balance. Librans are tactful and hate to be rude. They function well with large groups of friends and family. They try to see both sides of an argument, yet others may perceive this as "fence straddling".

The Libra personality is one that likes to have some of the finer things in life. They appreciate beauty and fashion, and they like to stay up to date on the latest styles. Librans are usually more artistic than intellectual. They easily make friends with most everyone they meet. They are willing to do their best to be cooperative in most any given situation.

Their love of luxurious things and beautiful possessions can often lead to unpromising behaviors. Gambling, squandering of money, and living beyond their means often times leads to serious financial problems. Their love for gossip keeps them friendly with their neighborhood social groups.

Librans make ambitious and energetic employees. Their good sense of right and wrong can sometimes lead them into a successful career as a lawyer. Their love for beauty and fashion sometimes makes them excellent fashion designers, cosmetologists, or artists. Librans overall good natured personality can lead to careers in a variety of fields including diplomats, antique dealers, civil servants, and even bankers. Although they are sometimes frivolous with their own money, they are usually good handlers of other people's money.

Libra controls the lumbar region, lower back, and kidneys. They are subject to illnesses involving the kidneys and bladder, especially stones. Librans are often times plagued with a number of different back problems.
