Poetry: Waiting

by Kathleen Mcelveen

Created on: November 17, 2009

Waiting...

Don't know what I'm waiting for

Starring at the vast darkness

Outside the front door

Waiting...

For that day to come

Don't know what that day is

But to the darkness I succumb

Waiting...

Until the dark becomes light

Don't know when that will be

But at the end of the night

I will be free.
