In a meeting, some people of an organization or office come together with view to discuss a generally on pre-set subject such as business or community event planning, often in a formal setting. A meeting may take place between two people. In today's world face to face communication may not be required in a meeting. Rather equipment can also be set up to have a discussion between people staying at different locations, like a conference call or an e-meeting.

If you have spent your time working in an organization, you are certainly familiar with the outcome of the meetings and how it can be productive. It is sad when you start work and find out that your entire day is an endless sequence of meetings with a short break between them. Extensive meetings can be just as large a time consumer.

Meetings are an important tools for personal contact in any organization. Unless properly planned and executed, meetings can be a waste of time and resources. This type of meeting often people term as 'boring meeting'. However, it depends on your definition of "boring." Some vital information may be "boring." It is then the task of the meeting organizer to try so that people do not leave and totally turn up the project.

All meetings are not an enjoyable one; some are boring, especially if it is called at a time when you are really busy or you are off-mood. But you may be undone, you are to join. When you join such meetings, or you are in good mood but the meting itself is dull then you are to device something to carry away with the meetings. My advice would be to make the meeting little lively if it is possible from your part, or you can follow these:

1. Know the agenda of the meeting. You must be aware about why it is called for. You can talk to others to gather more information about the meeting.

2. Once you are in the meeting look like you are attentive. Especially if your boss remains in the meeting and who himself remains always bored.

3. At the back of your mind you can think about the job you need to complete after the meeting. You can carry some of your documents with you.

4. You can ask one/two questions or, give some remarks to show you are with meeting.

5. Remember. If you are to put up with meeting, better enjoy the progress of the meeting. Having meetings is important. The vision and cohesion that stem from teamwork are vital to business success. So do not stop having meetings, just make them lively.
