So its 12:33 in the morning and I just turned 24, 33 minutes ago !
Okay, so I am older now, nothing BIG right ?
Well, I have to say that in turning 24, I am looking back at the years that have followed up to this moment and I am thinking WOW how did I ever make it here?
God's grace has certainly sustained me in all of the years before; I have experienced personal and spiritual growth that has helped me to become something greater in myself!
At a young age, I thought that it would be cool to pray for God to give me the spirit of Elijah. Man did I pray the wrong thing not really but at that age, I had no idea that I was praying for my destiny that God had set out before me and I was only 10 then. I was thinking at that age that it would be cool that when I died that if someone was placed in my grave that they might come back alive and spring out of it ! Cool huh; well at 10 that was what I was thinking not really looking at how Elijah had gotten to that moment, he had to go through many trials and when I say MANY I mean allot of brokenness not only physically but spiritually as well.
I did not come into a full understanding what I had truly prayed for until I was in my early 20's, and God pointed me to read the story of Elijah and that is when I truly realized that God had mirrored my life to be like Elijah, although the trials were different, we both had experienced brokeness spiritually and physically and thats when I knew he had heard my prayer.
Well God knew that is what I was called to; to bless and minister to those who were hurt and broken. But in order for me to get to a place to be able to minister to them, God had to place a thought in the form of a prayer in a young 10 year olds mind of what he wanted in my life so I thought it would be cool to become like Elijah when I got older, But God had to break me through the years of me getting older so I could minister to those like myself who were broken!
I grew up thinking that because of all the things that I had went through that I was "Damaged Goods". I have had allot of over coming that thought of being "Damaged Goods", I have had a lot of personal time with God asking what my true purpose in life was, not knowing that at the age of 10, I had already prayed it and had grown blank to that calling!
In the bible God says in Exodus 9:16 - But I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you my power and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth. Wow, to think
