One of the great benefits of Barcelona is its location along the Mediterranean Sea. Not many cities can boast a metropolis filled with culture and can offer some quality time on the beach.

The 84 room Hesperia Del Mar Hotel Barcelona is located across from the seafront and is a contemporary hotel built in the newly developed area of Diagonal Mar.

There is no need to be concerned about the distance from the hotel to the city centre, because those anxieties will be quickly dispelled upon arrival. The Metro (station Poblenou) is a just in walking distance, giving you access to the whole city centre in a manner of minutes. Another option is to see Barcelona's residents in action by taking the local bus. A bus stop is in front of the hotel making it very convenient to get to the heart of Barcelona. If you want to sightsee, the double-decker Bus Turistic stop for the Green Line (Forum Route) is conveniently located right across the hotel; available from March 30 until September 30.

The Hesperia Del Mar Hotel Barcelona is spotless and it is a superb location if you want to get a way from the city bustle and yet be so close to the action. You will find it to be modern, air conditioned, comfortable and with exceptional pricing for a 4 star in a premier city such as Barcelona.

The rooms are spacious with elegant design furnishings, including large marble bathrooms, a mini-bar, in-room safe and armchairs. Some rooms face the sea with a terrace, so you can catch a Mediterranean sunrise.

The welcoming friendly staff speaks a multitude of languages, including English, and are knowledgeable about the city and transportation.

The breakfast has a wide range of selections and available until 11 AM. It is buffet style servicing an extensive choice of fruits, cereals, hot and cold meats, eggs, breads and rolls.

There is complimentary wireless internet access in the common areas and you'll be able to obtain internet cable/modem access in your room.

Summary: This hotel is fabulous for both the leisure and business traveler who can utilize the conference center. Based upon price, comfort and ambiance, consider a stay here. You are close enough to all of the sights but with the advantage of being on the coast. With those warm sunny days, spend some time at the spotlessly clean beach to catch some rays or enjoy a great seafood meal on the waterfront at nearby Port Olympic.
