So you've gotten yourself a Facebook Account but are frustrated at the complexity of the website especially when you are trying to change your display name but failed at all the previous attempts. Changing your Facebook Display Name is very simple. In fact, it is the least complex editing you will ever do on Facebook. It only takes you within five minutes of your time.

But before you can edit your Display Name, you have to first find the Blue Navigator Bar found on the top of the website.

Now find the words Settings, found on the top right hand of the Blue Navigator Bar, and click on it. The page of the website changes and you now find yourself on the Settings Page of the website.

On the page itself, you will find six tabs below the Blue Navigator Bar. They are Settings, Networks, Notifications, Mobile, Language and Payments. You should be on the Settings tab. The tab will be highlighted in blue color.

In the Settings Tab sub-page, you will find a list of options: Name, Username, Email, Password, Linked Accounts, Security Questions, Privacy and Deactivate Account. Click on Name.

The sub-page will expand and you will find the options to edit your Display Name. You can now edit as how you would like your name to appear on your Wall. It is advisable for you to stick to a name that everyone recognizes you as. This is important as your friends may search for you on the Facebook to add you in their contacts for easy connection.

Try avoiding having names that have weird characters and interjections of unwanted capital letters. This will make your friends who have been searching for you, unable to find you.

Also try to avoid having names that may have sexual or vulgar innuendos. Facebook is just not a site that is used by people to make more friends. It is also used by your current and future employers to view what their current and future employees would think of them during and after working hours. There are even cases of employees getting the boot after complaining online about their job scope. So be careful about choosing the right Display Name for yourself.

Once you are satisfied with the Display Name you have made, click on Change Name button and you are done! I told you it is very simple and guaranteed to be completed within five minutes of your precious time.
