AUTUMN
The sun has set on summer,
All the leaves are falling down,
In the air a chilled wind blows,
Crispy frost blankets the ground.
Time to stoke the home fires,
Boil hot chocolate on our stoves,
Get out our winter jumpers,
Snuggle up and warm our toes.
The time has come around again,
Pumpkin soup and sticky sweets,
Time to put our costumes on,
And knock for trick or treats.
Carve out the jack-o-lanterns,
Please make sure they're burning bright,
For the spooks and little monsters,
Who are traveling this night.
The autumn sky's aglow with stars,
Constellations light the dark,
The smoky scent of sparklers,
Draws the crowds into the park.
Explosions boom across the sky,
Rainbow rockets zooming higher,
Its time to light the bonfire,
And build up Guy Fawkes funeral pyre.
