Often we have people come into our lives and we wonder after they are gone exactly what brought you together. God gives us angels in the form of friends or family. They may not stay for your entire lifetime, but they may drift in and out, throughout your lifetime. Angels are also sent to us by God in a time when we need extra protection, or hope or charity or a boost in our faith. We don't always see them or hear them, but we know that they are there. Our guardian angels are always with us, whether they are in human form, or spiritual, or some other form of help.
Just as angels come into our lives, so do demons. We all have had demons in our lives at one time or another. Demons can come in many forms, such as alcohol, drugs, lies, deceit, abuse, gambling, hatred, anger, fear and many, many other forms. We defeat these demons with the help of our angels. We don't always come away without scars or battle wounds, but God always helps us to defeat them. These are not battles that are won over night or in a day or an hour or in a moment. Sometimes we battle these demons for years and years.
There are rare cases when the demons win, and human life is lost to one of the demons. I often wonder about those people who lose their life to a demon such as heroin or cocaine or speed, or alcohol. Did they just not believe in God? Had they given up on their angels and God? Or did they think they still had time to fight and win their battle against that particular demon? Maybe at the end they looked towards God and said, I can't go on anymore. Please bring me home. I don't know about anyone's demons but my own. I fight every day to keep them at bay. I know that without God and my angels, I would have lost the fight a long time ago, and although I have accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior, occasionally Satan sends a demon back to try to defeat me. Jesus, is always there to help me send them back to Hell, and all I have to do is speak His name, and Satan runs from me and my Lord, my Guardian, and my Protector.
There is mighty power in His name, use it to fight your demons. Don't let them win.
