Money seems to be a topic that everyone is interested in. I have always had the thought, Man if I had more money. But if you think about it, money is the root of all evil. Greed comes to mind now a days when I think about money. You see I am a mother of two beautiful little boys that now I could not live without. Money for me does not make the world go round. I am able to do the most simple things with them and it brings me the most joy. It could be as simple as reading a book. I don't understand why youngsters these days have to have everything on the self at the toy store. I believe that my grandparents had just a few toys and used their imagination, rather than sitting in front of the television. What happened to the simple things?
Sure money makes the world go round, but it will not buy you happiness. If you work all day long, come home and have no time for the ones you love whats the point of all that money. People need to get back to the basis.
I understand that you need money to live. You need the necessity's of life. A roof over your head, clothes, food and health care. But you don't need money for love. When I hold my boys in my arms, I can feel the warmth of our love. When we play a game of hide and seek, I wonder how many people are this lucky? If the lonely male working on wall street has everything he wants or if they are just material things. Because when he dies, do you think his possessions will be at his funeral? I am not trying to be cold, because to each his own. But people should slow down every once in awhile and look into their life to see what really makes them happy.
Now since I stay at home we are by no means wealthy. We are on the lower scale of society. But that by no means stops us from being happy. What makes me happy is, of course my boys and husband, but the simple things like going to the library, headed to the park and seeing the excitement in my little ones face, and Sunday mornings when everyone is laying in our bed tickling each other and laughing.
If I taught you anything in this article, I hope that I taught you that joy is made from within and not money. Just always remember the small things of life and be happy!
