If I die today, would I feel sorrow?
If I die today, and not on the 'morrow
Would anyone bother looking back
Through the smokestack
To find that one glimpse of heaven
Amid a void of a thousand blank stares?
To search for that old lonely cabin
While no one else despairs
What makes it easy
Is never what makes it right
A fleeting memory now fading, ghastly
Struggling to put up any sort of fight
So now once again, I ask
If I die today, would there be any sorrow?
Certainly there would be many secrets to unmask
Yet those who care, are in number zero
Combining the high of forgetting
With the low of remembering
Bringing me back into my state of purgatory
That has made me wish for an end, even if it shall be bloody.
I declare I no longer care
Mourn him who is my heir
A life of misery awaits him.
Nothing there.
So If I die today
I don't care
And If I shall die on the 'morrow
I know, I shall feel no sorrow.

Poetry: If I die today
If I die today
I hope that I have shown in every way
How much I love them, how much I care
That my life would not be the same
If I should die today
And memories came my way
I would think of her first
She who made my heart burst
My wife and
If I die today and looked truly dead
Would someone come in and make the bed.
And while you're washing my dirty dishes
Know
Your world won't implode.
Your soul won't begin to decay
if I should die some time today.
Diseases and disharmony
will
If I die today and my life were over,
What will you remember?
Am I someone you will miss?
How will you choose to reminisce?
