The Existence of God
Is there that superior spiritual being that we designate as God? Some people believe there is not, while the majority believes there is. The unbelieving minority argues that if there is God, then this awesome Almighty would have been a physical being that everyone would see. They also claim that the world would have been a happy peaceful paradise. However, the believers have overwhelmingly realized that one does not have to see the physical being to maintain their claim because they are experiencing His presence and power in their lives, in the universe and even in the change and testimony of some people who were adamant atheists.
The believers are so immersed in their belief that there seems to be no need to see the Holy One in flesh. Even believers who attend church occasionally, and those who accept that they are breaking some of the commandments, are dogmatic about the awareness of satisfying relationships and pleasant and prayerful communication with God anytime and anywhere.
Some have testified to the mysterious works and miracles of the Omnipotent, which they strongly emphasize can never be attributed to coincidence or any other school of thought. For example, a woman in her anecdote related the following account. She said her husband, an unbeliever, seemed somewhat frustrated with her belief in God and her church activities. One day he told her that she is always talking about God's goodness and is so much engrossed in what she thinks is the service of the Lord but still she is not getting any answer to her prayers.
He also added that she should realize that there is no God. She asked him what prayer he was referring to. He said the Lord should have known that she wanted a son and that if there was God indeed he would have given her one. Her reply to that was that she had stopped praying for a son years ago but is continuously praising and thanking the Almighty Father for the daughter he has blessed her with.
The woman said she dismissed what she calls her husband's blasphemy but continued steadfastly in her belief and one year later without any medical input or extra effort in her latter years, a miracle happened. She believes the good God did it as an eye-opener to her husband's stubborn heart. She has been blessed with a wonderful son who she claims is a living testimony. Her son is a believer, too, she says, and she is still hoping that sometime soon the husband will be one, too.
God's true followers, the people who accept that Man tends to err and that it is through their own folly and the evil of others that sorrow pervades, are of the opinion that the Deity wants this world to be a utopia. Because He is a just and loving God He has given His children the freedom to choose. He expects them to use their knowledge and choose wisely.
Sometimes, He even directs and tries to lead them to make the right choice, yet some people divert in the wrong direction and persevere to stay on that course of destruction, ruthlessness and sorrow.
What happens when one's children disobey? They are punished to help them to learn that they must always do the right. Similarly, God chastises His children to try to keep them focused. However, some people are still determined to be categorized in the section of man's heart is evil and desperately wicked.
These types of unbelievers are self-centered, deceitful, cruel and wicked. Their negative qualities result in chaos, anarchy and tragedy. It is people like these who initiate, encourage and condone massacres and genocides. God wants his people to do what He loves which is to be charitable, affectionate, patient, forgiving and kind and to teach their offspring by example and through His word. If people exude positive energy, the world will be the heavenly place the Holy Spirit wants it to be.
Most people believed in past times that there is a superior being who created Man and his environment. This belief in God is still present and will always be, as the scriptures state, yesterday, today and forever. There may be unbelievers but the believers will always focus on the victories over the unbelievers such as the communists, the Nazis and other such staunch doubters. For the believers' signs and wonders will never cease. There will always be miracles, and the doubters will be confounded.
