Runescape mining guide: How to make more money & other great tips

As you prosper in Runescape, you'll often find it increasingly difficult to afford what you need. However, we can change this. Let me introduce to you a commonly trained skill from which you can make millions: mining. YOU, like many other legends who've walked in the field of mining, will soon be able to boast party hats, santa hats, or even a party cracker! To make it easier for you, I'll break the guide down into 5 simple steps.

1~ As you begin your mining journey, it's probably best that you train in the Lumbridge Forest. This is located to the east of the castle, and you can extract tin and copper ore from the rocks there. Optionally, these ores can then be made into bronze bars to increase your smithing level. Bank in the castle and repeat. Once you hit 15 mining, you can move on to step 2.

2~ You're now onto phase two. Things should only get easier from here! Firstly, head over to Falador, located west of Varrock. Now there should be some Mines near the Falador Party room, which is east of the bank. These mines can be very beneficial for your money needs. Simply mine iron ores, scattered across the room, and then bank them. Each ore usually sells for 200gp, but prices are likely to fluctuate. 40 is the recommended step to move on to coal.

3~ Don't expect the next few levels to be a cup of tea. The road to 99 is only narrowing, and you still have many challenges to conquer in this skill. Levels 40-60 will be gained in the same place, Falador Mines. Soon enough, you'll have the level required to access the Mining Guild.

4~ The mining Guild comprises many, many rocks. It is also clustered with people, but don't worry. There's over 40 rocks and at any one time you'll have one visible in your screen. Now you can mine coal and mithril, so get that pickaxe into action and a small fortune will be coming your way. Once you hit 85 mining, it's time to move on to a very economically productive part of mining: runite.

5~ Located in various parts of the wilderness, mining runite ore is an extremely slow process that can get you more than your pockets can carry in cash. It's recommended that by now you have a rune or dragon pickaxe. Cash will flow before you even notice the time passing by, but there is one difficulty. You have to keep world hopping (swapping worlds) in order to continuously mine rune. Otherwise, you'll have to wait 10 minutes per rune ore to respawn! You can get up to 300k an hour using this money-making method, and possibly more if you're a member
