Grandmas Little Sugar and Friends
Imagine having dreams of a vivacious little white elephant. I call her Little Sugar because she is so very sweet looking. Her eyes are big and blue with long black eye lashes. Her mouth is cotton candy pink. Everything else about her is pure white. Little Sugar stands about a foot tall and she is not very long. Her tail is short and has a tiny white puffy ball of hair on the end of it . I can tell Little Sugar likes to eat and has not missed many meals by her round smooth full belly. Unfortunately the frustration starts with Little Sugars trunk . This long white nose of hers has a life of it's own , getting her into so much trouble ! Little Sugar uses her trunk to tease and tickle and make messes every where she goes. Like a tiny hurricane she leaves a trail of destruction behind her. I was trying to get some papers sorted and filed away. As fast as I could sort them Little Sugar managed to grab and throw them. Laughter could be seen in the little darlings sparkling eyes. I wondered to myself could she be thinking that she is helping me ? I motioned for her to stop and Little Sugar giggled. Frustrated I tried to gather up this little bitty elephant but she dodged me at every swipe of my hand. I could hear her giggling in the distance. I woke up happy and smiling .
A couple of days went by and my grand daughter Gweneth was visiting me . She played very hard and needed to take her nap . I decided to share with her my dream of Little Sugar the tiny white elephant . To my surprise I found out Little Sugar has friends that have visited Gweneth's dream's as well ! It seems tiny little beautiful colored elephant's run around Gwenny's dreams . Playing in her bedroom messing up the toys, throwing her purple and red and yellow socks on the floor , tickling her with their trunks and giggling . According to Gweneth Little Sugar and her tiny elephant friends like to hide from everyone and play peek-a-boo! "They make my Mommy mad Grandma" Shy little playful elephant's of many colors. The orange one Punkin ,the pink one Bailey, the blue one Bella Bleu, the red one Cherry Pie . "Those are all great names" I told Gweneth "It seems that you have uncovered a bundle of mischievous little elephants that love getting into trouble ." " I guess we are special to have these little friends ." Gweneth looked up at me and smiled wide as her eyes closed and she drifted off to sleep .
I went into the kitchen and made some cupcakes to greet Gweneth with when she woke up from her nap. I had plans to make simple white ones but decided to have fun and frost them in the same bright colors of the baby elephants of her dreams. I had almost finished with Cherry Pie red when I heard a rustling in my bedroom. Going to the door I peeked in and there was Gweneth at my dressing table . On her head sat my favorite pink hat. Her cheeks red and her lips all glossy . Around her eyes were black dots from the tries at mascara and blue hints from the shadow . She was so cute . It was very hard to be mad at her for playing in my make up . When I pushed the door open Gweneth exclaimed " Oh Grandma you should have seen it! I was sleeping and our Little Sugar was playing at your dressing table! " " Her trunk was red and green and the ball on her tail was pink , she had black spots around her eyes and she even got in your hats Grandma !" " Are you mad at her Grandma ? She was just playing I told her not to !" I laughed and Gweneth laughed with me . On the way to the kitchen she took my hand and said " I am sorry Grandma I won't let Little Sugar get in your things ever again" . " I love you Grandma "
