Humor: Letter to Santa Claus

Dear Santa,

I would like lots of money this year. By giving me money, you will help me pay off all the debt I have incurred over the past few years like my credit cards and mortgage. Before my children graduate from high school and begin their own lives, I want to take them to Disney World. I promise to make it the most memorable vacation, and with the money from you, I know I could. For the trip to Disney World and other vacations and weekend getaways, my family would love to have a pop-up camper so we won't have to find a hotel that charges oodles if we bring our dog along. You know pets are part of the family so we can't leave her out when we go on vacation. I would love to be the proud owner of a new car, such as my dream car, a 2009 Chevy Malibu. I've been driving my 2001 Chevy Impala for eight years now and feel I deserve a new car because of everything I've been through the last few years. Besides, I'm used to having a new car about every three years so I'm way overdue.

In addition to those items above, I have things I would like to do to my house to make it even more like a home for my two children and me, things like a new furnace and new flooring. It would be also nice to add a room onto the back of the house so I would have a home office and scrapbook room to spread all of my stuff out and not have to put it away every time I get it out. My family dreams of a new LCD TV for our living room. You don't have to bring a very big one; something like a 36- or 42-inch would be great.

While having lots of money in order to have all of those wonderful things would be nice, I know you won't bring me those things since I'm not being realistic. I would like to be in better shape so a Wii with a Wii Fit would be items my family could use. My children and I could have fun while getting in shape at the same time. I know my children usually make me something at school, and I'm always tickled to get their homemade things, things I will cherish forever. What I really want for Christmas is just being able to spend time with my family. I really don't expect or want anything; just all of us being healthy and happy are enough for me. After all Christmas isn't just about how much money you spend, Christmas is about remembering what it truly means, spending time with your family, no matter how large or small, and creating memories that will last forever.
