Fun Winter Activities for Parents and Children

Want to know some fun winter activities for parents and children? There are a lot of activities that parents and children can do, but the activities my family would do during winter are:

Build a Snowman

Building a snowman is a fun activity. My family does it every winter. First you would get a handful of snow and shape it like a ball; keep on adding snow to the ball until it is too large to hold. Place the ball of snow on the ground and roll it around the yard until you have a huge ball of snow. Make sure that you are wearing gloves at all times, so you won't hurt your hands. Repeat the same step for the next ball of snow, but make it a little smaller than the bottom on and place it on top of it. After that, you would repeat the step again, but make it smaller than the middle part of the body and place it on top; that ball of snow would be the head. If you want to be creative, you could dress your snowman; you could even make a snowman version of your family outside.

Snowball Fight

Another fun winter activity is a classic snowball fight. It may be an old activity, but it is very fun. My family does it every year. Snowball fighting reminds me of dodge ball; try not to get hit by the ball of snow. When having a snowball fight, please do not throw the snowball at someone's face; they could get very sick. The whole neighborhood children would come together on a snowy day and have fun having a snowball fight. We wouldn't care how cold it was outside, we would dress up in warm outfits and go outside and play. The last snowball fight my family had was two years ago with the neighborhood children; we moved now.

Decorate

Another activity for parents and children is decorating. They could decorate their home and be prepared for when Christmas comes. It is very fun. The kids could draw pictures and hang them up in their rooms. The parents and children could play together decorating a Christmas tree for Christmas; it would be a thrill. My family loves to decorate for Christmas. My little brother loves to decorate a card and bake cookies and put them at the fireplace for Santa Claus on Christmas Eve.
