Is it wrong to sell adult material on the internet?
Adult material simply refers to pornographic material that describes or shows naked people or sexual acts in order to cause sexual excitement. This include movies, magazines, books, etc. It is wrong to sell adult material on the internet on account of its harmful effects on both adults and children alike.
Firstly, adult material describes an extreme and an impracticable forms of sexual behaviour such as having sex for a long time, orgies, etc. This form of sexual behaviour arouses an insatiable desire for sex in the individual who is engrossed in watching them. They are inclined to believe that sexual intercourse could last as long as what they watch on the internet and that it is possible to practice it.
It must be noted that the characters who feature in the adult material are usually under the compulsive influence of drugs which enables them to engage in that kind of marathon sexual adventure. Because of its addictive nature, this material then produces in the individual a hunger for sex that cannot be satisfied by one partner. This animalistic desire, compulsively pushes them to crave for sex in multiple partners and the force of the sexual impulse they are feeling even makes them ignore the need to practice safe sex since it has become a matter of compulsion to satisfy the urge at anytime and anywhere.
Needless to say this unwholesome behaviour, exposes its victim to the danger of contracting the dreaded HIV/AIDS. Let me also submit that habit if not resisted becomes a necessity. Adult material is prone to addiction and this has the potential of wrecking one's life.
In addition, it is incontrovertible that children also have access to the internet. Suffice it to say that this engenders the crave for sex in an early stage in their lives and the desire to feed this untimely hunger will consequently result in teenage pregnancy. One cannot foreclose the possibility of their educational pursuit being interrupted by this early engagement in sexual intercourse.
Lastly, those kids who are usually confined to the four walls of their homes on account of restiction placed on them by their parents could resort to sleeping with each other just to satisfy the amorous desires provoked by the adult material they watch on the internet, thereby committing incest which is by all standard abominable.
