Politicians deserve the bad reputation they have

by Hilda Gray

Created on: November 14, 2009

Well, don't get me wrong now, I really appreciate politics and the like. This is because since politics exists I have a house in which I inhabit. On the contrary, I really hate politicians. This is because some of them are very corrupt and definitely are not fair to the poor people who don't own a house or even a toothbrush for that matter.

This brings me to my first exclusive point. If you ask me, politicians have a lot more cash than the average joe. They also have a lot more possessions and it takes away from the equality of our nation. Out nation should have equality, that is unquestionable unless you are evil and against human rights. Well, continuing on this enlightening train of thought, we arrive at the spot in which I tell you a story. This story regards George Bush, the fictitious president. George Bush was not tending to the needs of his country while the tragic horrific accident of 9/11 happened with terrifying implications. He happily had more money than the victims of terrorists. Now, George Bush was supposed to protect everyone, but you never saw him shooting terrorists like Americans did when they tried to protect their country. For this, the hatred aimed his way has been earned by him. This is a valid point, as I'm sure many will agree.

Now, some politicians don't deserve what they get. I am an experienced individual, proudly a 52 year old mother who has been through more than you will ever be and has maintained christ-like principles her entire life. Because of my experience, I know that my husband was a pastor and then an aspiring politician. I also know that he followed god but when he tried to get into politics because of his ideas, he was disrespected by ignorant fools and developed what I like to call a "bad reputation". Now, here is a case where a good man was undeserving of what he did. He stuck to his principles and tried to serve people, but they thought the opposite. So, instead of it being his fault, I have concluded that it is ignorance. Blind ignorance.

So now it is time for me to conclude the enlightening journey through the midst of the originally unquestioned and therefore unsolved. I conclude that George Bush was deserving of his bad impression because he simply had too much without justifying it with his actions. I also conclude that my humble husband who stayed true to god is an example of the opposite. Both extremes are possible. You should concur and reach the inner peace I have through my informing reflection spilled onto the blank snow-white of the computer screen.
