If you love matte eye shadow, more than likely, you will recognize there is a lot to discover about this very variable color. Mac cosmetics never fails to disappoint, when creating some of the best eye shadows in the world today. If you are looking for a nice matte black eye shadow, I truly recommend Mac's "Carbon". This eye shadow possesses a nice matte quality that is destined to go with just about any type of color and finish. Mac's eye shadows are heavily pigmented, so the color pay-off is amazing. For only $14.50, you just cannot go wrong. However; what makes Mac even better is the fact that it is long lasting.

Loose eye shadows can be quite fascinating because you can apply as much as needed. If you are looking for a great matte pigment, I definitely recommend Mac pro cosmetics pigment in "Black Black" which is a rich black matte. Unlike "Carbon" it's more rich in color, so the color pay-off is more visible, as a result. The product is huge and for only $19.50, you receive enough application to last you thousands of looks. The only weakness is fallout, so I truly recommend applying "Black Black" before you apply foundation.

One of my favorite make-up brands is definitely Lancome. One of my most favorite black eye shadows is definitely Lancome's Color Design eye shadow in "Statuesque". For only $16.50, this bold shade is a very deep, black matte that is quite pigmented, so the color upshot is very detectable. I love this eye shadow because it goes amazing with just about any shade and can be used dramatically or within moderation.

Searching for a nice black matte eye shadow can be tough, but it should never be rocket science. If you haven't heard of Make Up For Ever, you are truly missing out. Why? Because some of their eye shadows are spectacular, including "Black 04" which is matte black. I love this eye shadow because it's quite tense, but can be worn subtlety and it is only $19. One of the best undiscovered eye shadows is definitely this one.

I don't know about you, but I have a hard time finding the right matte eye shadow because there are just so many. Illamasqua creates some of the best eye shadow I have used. Illamasqua is a fairly new company, but don't let their newbie status fool you. If you are looking for a nice matte black, I truly recommend "Gimp" as this shade provides just that. For just $20, this matte black eye shadow looks amazing with just about any color, making it a flexible eye shadow that you will love.

Black matte eye shadows are quite the rarity, however; in order to achieve any good look, they really do prove to be quite effective. Smashbox cosmetics creates some of the best products in the beauty world today, including matte eye shadows. "Blackout" is matte jet black. If you are looking for a jet black matte eye shadow, you are truly going to love this one. Smashbox rarely disappoints and I think in all actuality, you will not be disappointed by this black matte eye shadow. It is only $16.
