Poetry: Harvest time

by Kressa Singh

Created on: November 13, 2009

Clasping hands on pumpkin stems

Squirells stuffing acorns in their dens

Tractors rolling through the fields

To gather for this seasons mill

A harvest moon lights the way

To take the spotlight from the day

An axe placed in cedar wood

Shaving piles where it once stood

Hunting the Mississippi flyaway

Trees dress up to make their display

It's harvest time!
