CAN YOU HEAR ME?
I believe there is a point in life where EVERY child has the ability to succeed in
whatever they do. It is the responsibility of the person or persons who are raising this
child to see that they do their best to preserve that.
In the last few years, I have been very involved in helping others less fortunate then me.
Usually it involves taking care of their children while they do what they need to do.
Unfortunately, I have all too often been in situations where the children are not being
cared for or raised as they should.
There are a few things parents should always keep in mind when raising their children:
1} What is said is never forgotten, especially the hurtful words.
2} What is said is often believed by the child.
3} You, as the parent are your child's idea of what they should be when they grow up.
4} You will NEVER harm a child by lots of hugs or by telling them you love them over
and over again.
5} Children will make bad choices and mistakes. They need you to tell them they are
still worthwhile and special, regardless.
6} Listen to your child. They need to feel that there thoughts, ideas, and emotions are
important too. Otherwise, they will never feel secure enough to follow their dreams.
In summary, the most important thing to remember is, TIME never runs out, BUT, it
goes by very fast and if you aren't paying attention, you will lose any opportunity to be
the best parent you can be.
