Easy homemade holiday gifts

Interested in making your own gifts? Well, so am I! And here's a few I thought of. There's so many links to make your own Holiday gifts, but it takes forever to look through the darn things! I've taken up a lot of time looking into what I can get for my sisters/brother/ and mother because everyone has everything they want! Looking to buy for that coffee addict? Or maybe someone who likes to bake, but just doesn't have the time to? Gifts in a jar, are perfect. I received a whole basket full of baking items that were jarred and ready to add wet ingredients. No risk of those cookies you baked going bad because you made them while they had SO many sweets already made. The recipes can easily be found online, if you simply type in Gifts In A Jar you will come up with a whole bunch of recipes. One of my favorites:

All you do, is simply decorate as many jars as you feel comfortable making (maybe you need a gift for a coworker and only want to give them one jar, or perhaps a sister or beloved friend you'd like to give many to!), put the dry ingredients in the jar according to the directions, place a label with some cue cards attached to the jar(s), and voila! An awesome, thoughtful gift. You can finish it off by going to the dollar store and purchasing a very inexpensive basket, some of that see through Christmas wrap, some ribbon and you've got yourself a very expensive looking Christmas present.

Another idea, is to make all sorts of coffee for the coffee lovers. There are so many great and inexpensive recipes for gourmet coffee mixes out there! Bottle them up (myself I am using baby bottles for sampler tastes...), wrap them up, and voila, beautiful and perfect. A blender comes in handy with this to make it smooth and consistent, but not a necessity.

For kids, make up a jar of fun stuff for them to do! Include some pipe cleaners, markers, crayons...etc, make it as fancy as you want and you can get a lot of crafty stuff at the dollar store! The gift ideas are endless for gifts in a jar! They're great, creative and thoughtful! Your friends and family will appreciate it!
